Welcome to the 96th Infantry Division Association Heritage Fund’s website. We are Veterans, their families, and friends of the "Deadeye" Division of World War II who have worn the Double Diamond Patch after World War II. Our sole purpose is to preserve the memory and heritage of the 96th Infantry Division and their lineage to present day.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the 96th Infantry Division Heritage Fund is to preserve the history and legacy of the 96th Infantry Division the “Deadeyes” from World War I, World War II, and post-World War II starting with the 96th Army Reserve Command and continuing today with the 96th Sustainment Brigade. The Heritage Fund was started by the 96th Infantry Division Association to continue the work of creating monuments, memorials, plaques and documenting the history of over 100 years of service and sacrifice. While the focus of the 96th Infantry Division Association was to hold an annual reunion and other get togethers, the Heritage Fund is focused on preserving history as well as supporting the 96th Sustainment Brigade. The Heritage Fund is an IRS 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation and donations are considered tax free.

The establishment of a new web site and creation of a Virtual Museum has been a major project that will allow the Heritage Fund to significantly expand the online collection of documents pertaining to the history of the 96th from WWI to the present. The website will continually evolve, and new materials will be added for the enjoyment of all. The archived documents will be useful for historians and researchers. The website will also host the continuation of the Deadeye Dispatch, first started in 1943 and continued by the 96th Infantry Division Association for over 50 years and now available again online digital form.
